An entrepreneurial, regional insurance brokerage, with ambitious growth plans, has an extremely rare opportunity for an experienced Account Executive to inherit an established portfolio in Leeds.
My client is recognised as one of Yorkshire's most active and forward-thinking Commercial Insurance Brokers, Risk Managers and Health & Safety Consultants. By carefully understanding the threats that face its clients' businesses, it creates structured strategies that provide a consistent and cost-effective approach to risk.
In this role, you will take over a few long-standing clients, catering for all their needs to ensure the continued renewal of their business. You will also be tasked with generating circa £30K -£40K per annum in new business, with full telesales support, until the account reaches circa £200K income. The account will comprise the company’s largest Fleet accounts, however you will also be required to target more general commercial lines. This will be a pure ‘relationship’ role, as my client has a comprehensive back-office support function comprising both Administration and Broking Teams, who will assist with the day-to-day running of your account.
It is essential that you are an established Account Executive, seeking a challenging role with a fast-paced, growing business. Although you must have an understanding of Motor Fleet insurance (ideally including haulage), you’ll also have a good technical understanding of more general commercial business. You will have excellent communication skills to be able to confidently converse with individuals from a variety of backgrounds. You will also be able to strike the right balance between being successful with new business, and maintaining strong credibility with existing clients.
