Due to strong organic growth, my client, a small but very successful independent financial advisory firm, is looking to further enhance its Support Team with the appointment of an experienced Paraplanner based in Liverpool.

The business has built a strong reputation in the market for offering first-class service and specialist advice to its clients. It provides a wide range of advice, covering all aspects of a financial/ retirement planning and investment management.

You will be an integral part of the advice process, with the main purpose of the role being to provide paraplanning support to the firm’s Managing Director. You will conduct research on products, providers and funds in line with company policy, providing supporting suitability reports for the MD. You will write product recommendations for presentation to clients, whilst also completing portfolio reviews and rebalancing requests. Other day to day duties will include dealing with client and provider queries, as well as maintaining relevant databases and ensuring records are accurate and up to date with client and portfolio details.

You will have strong experience of working within an IFA firm as a Paraplanner. It would be beneficial if you are Diploma qualified, however, my client will support you to achieve this. You will have excellent report writing skills, as a big chunk of this role will involve writing suitability reports. It is important that you have a bright and bubbly personality, enabling you to fit in to this ‘close knit’ team. It is essential that you have the necessary initiative and wherewithal to work independently and focus on tasks.

There is a generous basic salary on offer with this position, plus benefits, as well as a discretionary annual bonus linked to profitability that, whilst not contractually obligated, has been paid every year. You will also receive an additional Christmas bonus on top of this.
