This first-class MGA focuses on providing UK insurance brokers with a wide range of schemes for specialist and non-standard risks across a wide and varied selection of trades and specialisms. Currently in an exciting period of growth and expansion, it now seeks additional expertise to add value and strength to its underwriting proposition.
As a Senior Underwriter, your main focus will be to provide a market-leading underwriting service to your introducing brokers across all relevant commercial classes, the majority of which will be specialist Package/ Combined policies, but will also include some stand-alone Property and Liability work too. You’ll obviously have a strong developmental approach to your work and will always underwrite with a view towards profitability and outstanding scheme performance. Additionally, you’ll play an active role in the development of new products and schemes, identifying and negotiating with appropriate potential carriers.
You’ll be joining a focused, motivated and service-driven team, all working towards the same goals and with the same values. It is therefore expected that you’ll be an approachable team player who is happy to mentor and coach less experienced individuals, providing answers to technical referrals and queries, when required. Previous line management experience would be most advantageous too.
