This independent broker is performing tremendously across all of its specialist units, not least its Private Clients Division. It is enjoying double-digit growth and continues to secure high calibre talent to join the team across the business.

As a result of internal promotion, the need has arisen to appoint an experienced Private Client Account Executive. As such, this is a rare opportunity to inherit a longstanding and loyal portfolio of accounts that will not be under attack from the former Account Executive who is being promoted into an exciting new senior role within the company.

This broker’s private client portfolio comprises both ‘old and new money’, and includes ultra, high and mid worth individuals. Many of these accounts are connected to commercial and corporate clients, for example this broker does a lot of work within Financial Institutions and Private Equity Houses, and accordingly, many of those firms’ Partners & Directors are clients of the Private Clients Division.

Benefitting from warm client introductions and a thorough handover with your colleague, you will be tasked with the management of an existing portfolio of accounts spanning Household, Second / Holiday Home, Prestige / Cherished Motor, Travel and Fine Art covers, amongst others. Whilst this role is very much geared to the management of the existing account, you will be expected to grow the portfolio further through cross / up selling, and developing new business. As such, we welcome applications from enterprising candidates who have innovative ideas about generating new business through targeting new markets, holding networking events and seminars etc.

It is essential that you have a detailed knowledge of the Private Clients insurance market, coupled with previous experience of working as an Account Executive. Given the breadth of this broker’s client base, it is essential that you are able to build professional rapport with people from all walks of life, from self-made millionaires through to the landed gentry! As you would expect, you must be articulate, well-spoken and with first class communication skills. Whilst not essential, progress made towards professional qualifications would certainly add weight to your application.
