Our client is a leading Insurance and Risk Management specialist, with a strong presence throughout the UK and indeed the world. Due to continued growth, it has an opportunity for an experienced Employers’ Liability Claims Handler in its Chelmsford office.

Joining an existing team of Claims Handlers, you will manage a portfolio of long-tail Employers’ Liability files including industrial/ workplace claims emanating from Noise Induced Hearing Loss, Asbestosis, Vibration White Finger and others. You will manage these files from first intimation, liaising with the insurers and other appropriate third parties to expedite the claims process and bring them to a successful conclusion. Throughout the lifecycle, you will offer technical advice where required, chase for necessary updates, and ensure clients are given realistic time scales for each step of the process. Whilst training is on offer, it is your responsibility to strive for continuous professional development, keeping abreast of industry changes, market publications and legislation. As the business has continuous growth plans over the next few years, this is an excellent time to join the team as the role will offer genuine scope to progress.

It is essential that you have a genuine passion for claims handling, and pride yourself on providing the best possible client service at all times. As such, you must possess excellent communication and negotiation skills, and be able to manage claims in a fair and expeditious manner. As well as keeping the client abreast of their claims progress, you will be expected to assist with claims reviews, providing your expert opinion on the best course of action to resolve claims, and give advice on preventative measures in order to keep your clients’ costs to a minimum. It is essential that you have demonstrable experience of working in a Casualty claims environment. Applications from those individuals with a broking, insurance company, or adjusting background are welcomed.
