This highly respected MGA underwrites across four specialist classes of business and has built an enviable reputation for quality and service excellence across all four. The organisation takes pride in its flexibility and agility to get deals done and business written. Occasionally, it underwrites business where claims do occur and that’s when its outstanding claims service really kicks in.

One of its specialist business lines is Professional Indemnity and it’s in this team where this exciting new role sits. You’ll be joining a small team of industry professionals who have a wealth of claims and legal experience in this specialist sector and all of whom are keen to impart and share their knowledge. You’ll be working on wide variety of PI claims that include, but won’t be limited to, Solicitors, Architects, Media, Insurance Brokers and Consulting Engineer Engineers, and thus everyday will present a new and interesting challenge. With responsibility for handling your own portfolio of claims from first advice to conclusion, you will be able to consider each set of circumstances on its own merits and make an initial coverage assessment on each case. Thereafter, you’ll proactively manage each file to a conclusion, instructing experts, where appropriate, and referring upwards with your own recommendations on complex cases.

It is essential that you have a genuine passion for claims handling and can ideally demonstrate a working knowledge of Professional Indemnity and/ or D&O and FI claims. With some highly-qualified and technically very strong individuals already in situ, our client is able to be flexible in this key hire. It is happy to consider candidates with 12-18 months PI experience gained from within a broker, syndicate or composite, but is also open to meeting more experienced candidates potentially looking to move from the City into the regions to create a more comfortable work/ life balance. Additionally, strong graduates with a Casualty claims background, keen to move into PI, will also be happily considered.

In return, you will benefit from a highly competitive basic salary, generous benefits package and support towards professional qualifications. Whilst not City-based, this superb MGA definitely has the corporate feel, and working in their regional office with excellent underground, rail and road links will give you best of both worlds.
