Whilst this MGA underwrites a variety of covers and trade schemes, this role sits within the Commercial Combined team that underwrites bespoke packaged schemes for a variety of sectors including sports clubs, breweries, leisure parks and printers. It is primarily looking for someone with Commercial Combined underwriting expertise who can ideally demonstrate a background of working within an MGA and who therefore understands and appreciates that there is sometimes a need to be flexible and agile in order to on-board new business.
You will be responsible for the underwriting of broker introduced new business, and will make a strong contribution to the income and profit objectives of the business to meet budgets and targets. You must be able to demonstrate a good understanding of excellent customer service and negotiation skills, and have a good level of market awareness. You will ensure that the standard of service provided to customers is in accordance with those laid down by the company, along with FCA regulatory rules and guidelines.
There is also the potential for hasty progression into a team leading role here too. You’ll be joining a small team of 4, and our client envisages the possibility that through your expertise, gravitas and desire to be the best, naturally you’ll become the focal point for referrals from the team and queries from your brokers.
