This business already trades from a number of locations across London, as well as in Europe and the Middle East, and is recognised as a market-leader in providing bespoke mortgage broking solutions to a discerning clientele. Its services include Mortgages for residential properties in the UK and abroad, to both locally domiciled and expat Ultra High Net Worth clients, Commercial Lending, and Bridging Loans, amongst others.
Its client portfolio spans the globe and includes well-known names, including dignitaries from the worlds of business, sport and entertainment. A significant portion of these clients are recognised as Ultra HNW, with £10M+ in properties and investments across the globe. This firm is well-known in the industry for the strength of the relations it holds with its clients, and is recognised as the ‘go to’ trusted advisor for literally thousands of HNW individuals and families, and will be called upon time and time again to arrange multiple mortgages and other financial products.
As such, the role of a HNW Development Executive is a relatively simple – you will be provided with warm leads from colleagues in the Mortgage Team who are motivated and incentivised to help you. These prospects are typically repeat customers who have a long history of trading with this firm and call on its Team for all their financial services’ needs.
This is a senior role within the business and it is worth noting that the HNW Division is the brainchild of the group CEO (whom you will report directly to), and as such, he clearly has a vested interest in your success. You will enjoy a high profile in this business that is known for its flat management structure, and your achievements will be visible to all.
You will benefit from a high level of broking administration support, including access to a wide variety of specialist HNW insurers, and you will continue to manage your portfolio, effectively building up a profitable book of HNW business. You will spend a great deal of time with colleagues from other areas of the business, talking through their client lists to identify prospects who could benefit from their insurance services, ensuring all cross-selling opportunities are exploited.
The CEO is particularly keen on appointing someone who has bright and innovative ideas about new marketing campaigns, distribution strategies, or ways to develop the firm’s HNW insurance brand. You will also be tasked with engaging a range of stakeholders, such as developing profitable relationships with an established network of professional introducers, and ensuring the best possible terms are in place with insurer partners.
It is essential that you have a sound understanding of the nuances of Private Client insurance, including the full suite of HNW Products. You must also have a strong track record of success in development-orientated positions, and thrive in a sales-orientated, targeted environment.
As you would expect when dealing with Ultra/ HNW individuals, you must be well-presented, articulate and have exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal. Given the nature of the industry, you must be mindful of people from all cultures, discreet, able to inspire confidence and secure the ‘buy in’ of exceptionally wealthy individuals, from nouveau riche sports starts to ‘old money’ such as foreign royalty.
