This award-winning, independent insurance broking specialist offers a suite of complementary services alongside its traditional insurance broking offering, and this exciting new role is based within one of these additional specialisms. It now seeks an experienced individual to add strength, expertise and energy to its successful and highly regarded Risk Management division.
Although some brokers have a Risk Management offering, it is commonly outsourced or even promoted as an afterthought. Very few embrace Risk Management with any kind of real commitment, but this broker recognises that offering its clients a bespoke Risk Management and Health & Safety programme is a crucial, value-added service, which helps mitigate the risk of claims that can be so costly, disruptive and time consuming for a business. It encourages all of its clients to undertake reviews of their policies by educating them of the features and benefits of a Risk Management programme in a consultative fashion, in contrast to the normal ‘hard sell’.
This is a first-class opportunity to take on a varied and challenging role. Reporting directly into the Technical Services Director, you will deal with, and provide detailed reports, on both Property and Casualty risk exposure. Education is also key in this role and you’ll assist in the delivery of client training in respect of claims defensibility workshops. With some highly experienced, technical experts to work alongside, you will have access to mentoring on more complex, challenging risks, and as such, this is a fantastic opportunity to develop professionally.
It is essential that you have experience in a Risk Management style position gained from within a broking, consultancy or industry environment. In addition, you will have already obtained your NEBOSH Certificate as a minimum, and should ideally be progressing towards Diploma level. Professional IRM or CII qualifications would also be highly welcomed. It is imperative that you are confident, approachable and able to communicate effectively at all levels. With the firm’s Head Office being in the North West, and a client bank domiciled in the local region but also across the UK, consideration can of course be given to a work from home arrangement with a regular report into the office.
In return, you will benefit from a friendly and supportive environment, working alongside like-minded Risk Management professionals. You will also receive a competitive basic salary and a comprehensive benefits package including car allowance. It’s an exciting time to join this organisation as it is continuously evolving, affording you the opportunity to raise your profile within the market.
