This role will involve meeting clients face to face, reviewing their current mortgage, and selling Protection-based products where appropriate. You’ll be provided with 100% of your written business, as this firm will book in all of your appointments from their head office. There’s no need to self-generate, no need to bring on board a client bank, and no cold calling whatsoever.
This role will involve a great deal of travel around the Hertfordshire/ Essex area; therefore, it is absolutely essential that you have experience in providing face to face mortgage and protection advice within an estate agency or independent brokerage environment. Experience within a bank or building society won’t be suitable unfortunately. You must also own a car and have a full driver’s licence.
You can expect a base salary of £20K - £30K with an OTE of up to £50K-70K for the first year, but the ‘sky really is the limit’ for earnings. The previous consultant in this position for the Herts/ Essex area billed £130K last year!
