As a result of growth, a highly successful independent mortgage brokerage based in Sheffield seeks an experienced Senior Mortgage Adviser / Office Manager.
This company is led by a very experienced management team that has a successful track record of building high-performing businesses. This role has come about as a result of the Directors now wanting to spend “more time on the business, rather than in the business.”
With an impressive amount of introducers and technical expertise, this firm is going from strength to strength and has plans to expand within a number of lucrative areas. As such, there could not be a more exciting time to join the business.
This is a varied role, where you will oversee a team of mortgage staff comprising Mortgage Brokers and Administrators. Leadership duties will include, but certainly not be limited to, overseeing and allocating workflow, dealing with technical referrals, conducting appraisals, one to ones and coaching, and identifying and implementing necessary training. In addition to this, you’ll be providing Mortgage & Protection advice and therefore you must be CeMAP qualified (or equivalent). We need you to possess strong criteria knowledge of lenders, with the ability to quickly suggest options for incoming mortgage enquiries. It is therefore most likely that you will have come from an independent broking background.
You will be approachable and organised, with a genuine passion for developing others. Ideally, you will have proven leaderships skills, although our client will consider Senior Mortgage Advisers who have a natural flair for management. It is imperative that you have recent experience of giving compliant mortgage and protection advice.
The Directors of this firm are willing to share their success, and they envisage that the successful candidate will take an equity stake in the firm, once they have proven themselves.
