This highly respected insurance broking organisation now seeks to recruit an experienced commercial claims professional who is ready to take the next step in their career. You’ll become ‘number two’ to the existing Claims Manager and be responsible for handling the claims of this broker’s most key clients.
Working in a small team of 5 Claims Handlers, you will manage a varied caseload of Commercial Property and Liability claims emanating from mainly the Sports & Leisure industry. You will be the first point of contact with clients when a claim has been raised, and responsible for following the claim through to final closure by negotiating a satisfactory conclusion for all parties. This is a fast-paced environment where you will be expected to work accurately and efficiently, ensuring there are no backlogs.
You will be dealing with clients both over the telephone and via email, therefore it is essential that you have polished communication skills, a professional and business-like attitude, and confidence in your ability to build rapport with clients from a range of industry sectors. As a senior, you’ll also be involved in client-facing work at renewal review with the appropriate Account Executive and also when handling large and complex claims.
It is imperative that you have a good working knowledge of commercial insurance. Ideally, this will be gained from a broking environment, although our client is willing to consider applications from those candidates currently working for an insurer, adjuster or TPA. In addition, we are particularly interested in hearing from those candidates who have already made progress towards professional qualifications under the Chartered Insurance Institute, or have a demonstrable commitment to doing so.
