Whilst this MGA underwrites a variety of covers and trade schemes, this role sits within its Liability team that underwrites standalone Liability covers for a variety of specialist organisations operating in the Construction sector. It is primarily looking for someone with a knowledge of EL, PL and Contractors Liability, who can ideally demonstrate a background of working within an MGA and who therefore understands and appreciates that there is sometimes a need to be flexible and agile in order to on-board new business.
You will be responsible for the underwriting of broker introduced new business and will make a strong contribution to the income and profit objectives of the business to meet budgets and targets. You must be able to demonstrate a good understanding of excellent customer service and negotiation skills, and have a good level of market awareness. You will ensure that the standard of service provided to customers is in accordance with those laid down by the company, along with FCA regulatory rules and guidelines.
You’ll be joining a small team of 5 that has gained an enviable reputation within its chosen market for placing complex risks and for turning around competitive quotations expeditiously at all times.
