This award-winning Civil Engineering specialist has an enviable office network that covers the whole of the UK. This exciting new role will initially be a fixed term contract to cover a maternity leaver. The role sits in its Group Head Office located in the West Midlands, which benefits from excellent road and rail links.
As an Insurance Officer here, your responsibilities will be twofold. The main part of the role will be to expediently handle the wide variety of claims that fall within the large deductibles. With the majority of claims being straightforward EL, PL and Motor claims, you’ll be confident in your ability to assess liability and settle “fault” claims speedily, satisfying all parties. Additionally, you’ll provide regular claims reports, keeping a close eye out for any concerns, trends or anomalies that should be highlighted for risk management purposes.
The second part of this role will be to provide an insurance concierge service, providing advice and assistance on areas of policy coverage and claims mitigation. You’ll also assist with renewals, where appropriate, and have regular interdepartmental liaison with Accounts and Risk Management. Externally, you’ll be in regular contact with Loss Adjusters, Legal Advisers, Brokers and other experts, and therefore it is anticipated that you’ll be able to display advanced communication and negotiation skills.
It is essential that all applicants can demonstrate proven experience of handling injury claims from within an Insurer, TPA, In-House or defendant fee earning environment. To complement your technical skills, you’ll be a confident and empathetic communicator with advanced negotiation skills.
