Our client, the Financial Services Division of a long-standing local accountancy practice, is seeking an ambitious and experienced IFA to take over from a retiring Senior Adviser in the Bradford area.
Having being established for multiple generations, our client has become synonymous with the provision of first class professional services in the region. Being part of the Team that launched the Financial Services Division, the Senior IFA’s retirement has now been agreed, resulting in a requirement for another Adviser to ‘plug the gap’.
Initially reducing working hours to 3 days per week as part of a phased retirement, the outgoing IFA will stay in place for the time being, in order to go through a ‘handover’ process. You will therefore work closely with this individual, conducting joint meetings over a period of time in order to establish relationships with existing clients. You will provide a comprehensive financial planning service to this broad portfolio of existing personal and corporate, high net worth clients. Contributing to the profitable development of the company, you will assist in the winning of new business, cross-selling additional services and gaining repeat business from clients. In addition, you will develop strong internal relationships with Partners from the accountancy side of the business in order to receive leads and referrals.
You must be driven and committed to providing quality and compliant financial advice. Our client places significant importance on the culture that has been created within the business, therefore, personality fit is absolutely crucial. You must be an easy going, yet highly motivated individual, who is comfortable working closely with internal stakeholders. Whilst Diploma qualification is the minimum requirement, holding advanced qualifications would add significant weight to your application. Whilst you will inherit a sizeable existing client bank, you will display the necessary drive and determination required to identify and convert new business opportunities.
