You will manage an allocated broker panel and be responsible for servicing said panel across a range of commercial risks. The exact level of premiums you will be dealing with is dependent on your experience, although you will be given the necessary training to deal with larger cases in due course. You will be dealing with a very committed broker panel and therefore you can expect to receive a great deal of loyalty on renewal. In addition, you will endeavour to develop broker relationship, as well as cross-selling other lines of business.
It is essential that you have a technical understanding of mid-market Property, Liability and/ or Motor Trade insurance, ideally from an insurer background, although MGA/ Broking experience may be considered. Most importantly, you must be driven and self-motivated, with a ‘Trader’s’ mentality and a genuine passion for maximising relationships.
