A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen for a claims professional to join this rapidly expanding and highly successful UK logistics specialist with offices located in both Croydon and Gatwick. As a result of its continued growth and expansion, there is now an immediate requirement for dedicated insurance resource to manage the claims function, and to maintain an accurate risk register of vehicles on cover.
As a Claims and Insurance Administrator, your wide and varied role will be critical in minimising outlays and reducing reserves, where appropriate, for a wide variety of claims made against our client and its fleet of c500 vehicles. Responsible for taking first notification of loss from the company’s drivers or the third party, you’ll be able to use your skills and experience to assess liability on all incoming claims, taking proactive decisions to progress fault claims expediently and minimising hire and repair costs at all times.
This hire is absolutely critical to our client, and previous motor claims experience is key, but equally important is a proactive approach, an analytical mindset and advanced communication skills. You will take ownership of your role and its function, and take great pride in becoming a company ambassador. There’s an opportunity here to make a real difference , and success will be acknowledged and rewarded by the senior management. Being the very first incumbent in this role, you will be comfortable in a self-starting role and proactive in implementing processes and procedures to streamline the insurance operation. With a focus on claims spend and reserving , you will undoubtedly have a most positive impact on this organisation’s premium spend which won’t go unnoticed at board level.
