This role has come about following the MD receiving a continued stream of new business enquiries and as such, he is looking to pass on a number of his longstanding clients. Over time, this could result in you assuming control of a portfolio of clients that generates several hundred-thousand-pounds in commission and fee income. Clients are likely to come from a wide range of industry sectors such as Timber, Recruitment and Food.
The focus in this role is very much on the ongoing servicing of clients (as opposed to business development), so it is essential that you are a ‘safe pair of hands’ and have the technical knowledge and gravitas to assure clients as to the best insurance programme for their needs. You should also be commercially-minded, naturally curious about business, and able to talk with confidence about the industries in which your clients operate. Ideally, you will come from a Credit Insurance broking environment, but we will also entertain candidates from an underwriting background who are confident in their ability to make the transition to working for an intermediary.
