In line with its compliance and regulatory framework, our client is seeking a File Checker to ensure the quality and competence of its Mortgage & Protection Advisers.

You will undertake compliance reviews of Mortgage Advisers’ activity against relevant regulatory rules and company standards. Specific duties will include monitoring Advisers’ telephone calls, accurately recording observations and feeding back information to the Supervisors. You will compile reports, highlighting relevant trends and shortcomings, providing recommendations to promote a positive compliance culture within the business. You will also collate evidence relating to customer complaints, as well as keeping up to date with industry and regulatory changes.

You must have recent experience of working within the financial services sector, with a good working knowledge of the mortgage sales process. Previous experience within a Compliance or Quality Assurance role within Mortgages & / OR Protection would be ideal, although our client is flexible on this. Perhaps you are a qualified Mortgage Advisor who would like to move into Compliance? Crucially, you must have great attention to detail, well-honed organisational skills, a strong moral compass and an ethical approach. Working with a range of stakeholders, you will also be approachable, diplomatic and assertive.
