This well-established financial planning practice in London is seeking a capable and ambitious Part-time Paraplanner to work closely with its Advisors as part of the firm’s long-term succession plan.

This local IFA practice has links to a larger group, building and maintaining long term client relationships. A ‘General Practitioner’, the practice deals with wide ranging client financial planning solutions.

As a Paraplanner your main responsibility will be to provide technical and research support to the IFA’s. You will research existing client pensions and investments and assess current investments using FE Analytics. Some additional duties will be preparing annual and periodic review reports for clients, preparing suitability reports and preparing all new business paperwork and compliance documentation for client sign off. You will also liaise with the IFA to understand client needs and then conduct research and make recommendations on products.

You will be an experienced Paraplanner, ideally being Level 4 Diploma qualified or almost there. My client would possibly look at highly experienced and ambitious Administrators ready to move on to the next stage in their career. You will need to be a confident and professional individual, as you will be required to directly contact clients and providers. Attributes such as good organisational, time management and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to effectively prioritise and plan your own workload, are considered prerequisite.

You will be rewarded with a generous basic salary which is dependent on qualifications and experience. As a Part-time Paraplanner you will be required to work 28 hours per week over 4 days, however, after a successful probation period the Director is happy to look at more flexible working. This role is for a Career Paraplanner and not particularly for someone who is looking to become an IFA in the short term. If you enjoy working for a small ‘close knit’ team and are looking for a varied role to further your experience, this role will be very much suited to you.
