One of the biggest names in the world of insurance seeks to add technical firepower to its prestigious Global Terrorism Unit. Already regarded as a market-leader in the fascinating Terror & Political Violence insurance sector, it boasts unique wordings and bespoke facilities.
You will be primarily responsible for underwriting business in accordance with delegated authority levels. This includes providing quotations for renewals, new business and alterations, referring to the Underwriting Manager or Carrier as required. However, as you will be a senior member of the team, you will also be responsible for assisting of the smooth running of the department. For example, helping set future strategy, managing relations with insurers, and supporting the Underwriting Manager in achieving the business plan / budget.
You will also be tasked with promoting the Global Terrorism Unit within the market, and managing relationships with a range of stakeholders, both internally and externally. Equally, you will be responsible for maintaining and reporting market intelligence, keeping abreast of sector developments and alert to new commercial opportunities.
Ideally you will have a significant experience of Terrorism / Political Violence / War covers, gained in either an underwriting or broking background. However, we also welcome applications from experienced Property underwriters who can demonstrate a genuine interest in Terrorism insurance along with a commitment to developing an expert knowledge of the sector. Whilst no means essential, progress made towards the ACII qualification would add significant weight to your application.
