A superb opportunity for a Case Manager / Underwriter to join a highly-respected property lender based in Birmingham.
This highly entrepreneurial business is owned by high net worth individuals who invest funds into residential and commercial property projects.
This is a very varied role, where you will apply company policy and procedure to assess the suitability of applications for bridging, development finance and joint ventures. You will also determine the pricing of terms, and the preparation and submission of offers to brokers and borrowers under the guidance of the Operations Director and/or CEO/Chairman. Using your initiative, you will carry out due diligence to support applications, instructing valuers and solicitors, where appropriate.
You must have experience within the financial services and property industry, ideally from a lender, although high calibre candidates from a broking background will be considered.
The role requires a thorough methodical and logical approach to each case to ensure a full picture of each application emerges and informed decisions can be made. This is by no means a ‘box ticking role’ and as such, our client is seeking someone with a good level of self-initiative who can ‘think for themselves’, with the ability to take ownership of tasks and perform detailed research and background checks. You must have excellent time management and organisational skills, the ability to multi-task whilst maintaining an eye for detail, and a flexible approach to meeting bidding deadlines. As you will be dealing with a wide range of stakeholders, you will also have the ability to develop relationships and communicate at all levels.
