A superb opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to join a highly-respected property lender based in Birmingham.
This highly entrepreneurial business is owned by high net worth individuals who invest funds into residential and commercial property projects.
Problem solving will be a key attribute to this role, whether it be dealing with day to day issues on site such as chasing suppliers or services, to sourcing a contractor to step in to a partially completed scheme in the event of repossession.
Reporting to the Operations Director, you will assist the Operations team in all aspects of loans and development that require residential refurbishment/ development. You will also appraise cost budgets and procurement strategies on loan opportunities, and ensure that all loan conditions are satisfied such as planning, environmental reports, build contracts, and warranties etc. prior to loan completion. You will also conduct regular site visits to appraise work in progress and agree valuations for payment certification and identify present and future issues with recommendations for action and solutions.
You must have hands on experience on building sites, with a good understanding of regulations, specification and costs etc. relating to residential refurbishment and development projects You must also have good written and verbal communication skills and a valid UK driving licence. You will be required to spend up to 3 days a week on average travelling throughout England and Wales.
