This Essex based MGA continues to expand and attract high volumes of submissions from its partner brokers. Unprecedented levels of enquiries continue to be presented and thus there is now a requirement for a Head Office based Underwriter to handle these new business enquiries and build strong, lasting local relationships with the introducers.
With a focus on underwriting packaged Commercial Combined risks from within the Manufacturing, Wholesaling and Retail sectors. you’ll use your manual underwriting skills to deliver new business quotations, and subsequently bind and issue documents in less time than it takes some of the composite competition to request information! You’ll have the benefit of some outstanding facilities providing market-leading terms and coverage. Therefore, not only will you be well-placed to provide your brokers with an outstanding service in turnaround times and cover, but pricing-wise, you will be highly competitive. It’s a win /win scenario!
To further reinforce the competitive edge that you provide, it is expected that you will be comfortable acting in broker-facing scenarios, visiting their offices, meeting the key individuals and underwriting on-site when appropriate. The maintenance and maximisation of these important relationships is key, and evidence of this in previous roles will undoubtedly add weight to your application.
