Its Personal Lines Department looks after Home, Motor and Travel covers of Directors’ and Senior Managers’ connected commercial and corporate clients. As such, the Personal Lines Department continues to thrive, without ever having to advertise for business, due the amount of quality commercial and corporate business being won by colleagues in relevant teams.
As a Personal Lines Account Handler, you will join a small, but friendly and supportive team who are known for their focus on delivering client service and enjoying working to shared goals and objectives. Dealing with business placed via online platforms, and written on specialist in-house schemes, you will provide an efficient and helpful broking service to existing and prospective clients. This will include discussing clients’ requirements, and sourcing suitable insurance that provides cover for these. Your working hours will be Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm.
You will ensure all work is carried out in a timely and efficient manner, which will include dealing with mid-terms amendments, renewals and new business, promptly and accurately. You will also be on hand to deal with day to day enquiries arising throughout the lifecycle of the policy. In addition, you will be responsible for dealing with all administration, for example issuing documentation, dealing with invoices, and updating the various computer / diary systems.
It is essential that you have previous experience of working within personal lines insurance, ideally spanning a variety of relevant covers. It is essential that you understand that the vast majority of the clients held by the Personal Lines Department insure their businesses with this firm also, so that all your actions, decisions and achievements will reflect on the wider business. You should possess strong communication and organisational skills and a keen eye for detail, with a passion for customer service. You must also have good numeracy and IT skills. Whilst not essential, you will ideally have experience of the Acturis broking platform.
