A truly outstanding opportunity has arisen within this niche insurance product provider that continues to grow, evolve and expand at such impressive rates that it now finds itself as the second biggest in the UK in its specialist field. To enable it to continue to grow and to further enhance its claims offering and service, a brand new role has been created to concentrate on and add value to the operational side of its claims handling processes and protocols.
Reporting to the Head of Claims, and with a maximum of four reports in to you, your role will be responsible for the technical management of the claims portfolio, working closely and collaboratively with Analysts, Underwriters and stakeholders to identify developing trends and any risk management concerns. Leading by example, and as an advocate of claims technical excellence, you’ll be a champion for the team acting as the spokesman, figurehead and leader at local board level, industry events and occasionally in the industry press.
With a strategic, analytical and collaborative approach, you’ll monitor your claims team in terms of output, performance and well-being, and using the various data suites at your disposal, you’ll be able to interpret these sets of data and implement process improvements and increased efficiency, where appropriate.
Being a newly-created role, there is a real opportunity to make your mark here and positively effect and influence the development of this outstanding organisation’s claims service. Additionally, you’ll work closely with preferred suppliers and experts to improve service levels and reduce costs.
As you’d expect, we’re looking for an outstanding individual with a proven track record within operational claims management for this role. You’ll be able to demonstrate relevant experience gained from within a composite insurer, TPA or maybe even a healthcare provider. Alongside your operational skills, you’ll show evidence of being able to embrace and manage change, an empathetic management style, and the ability to influence at the highest levels.
