This is a terrific opportunity for an experienced Mortgage and Protection Adviser to join a very reputable mortgage brokerage in Oxford on either an employed or self-employed basis.

This well-established, family-run business generates most of its business via referrals and recommendations and is now in the enviable position whereby it has too many enquiries to handle. As such, it requires an additional Adviser to assist with the increase in business levels.

Working within this small, boutique firm, you will offer suitable mortgage and protection products to a wide range of clients, providing advice both over the phone and face to face. Using your technical expertise and market knowledge, you will select the most suitable lenders and insurers from the whole of market.

Being a business based on traditional values and with the clients’ best interests at the heart of all its activities, you will enjoy working in a mature environment, which is free from micro-management and some of the politics and bureaucracy that can be found within larger, ‘corporate’ firms. You’ll also enjoy heightened levels of flexibility with working hours/ patterns, to suit your own personal circumstances and commitments. The hours are traditionally built around 9-5 Monday to Friday with no weekend work whatsoever.

As expected, you must be CeMAP qualified (or equivalent), with a successful track record of writing compliant mortgage and protection business. You’ll possess strong relationship management skills and the ability to work well within a small, close-knit team. It is preferred that you have independent mortgage broking experience, although our client will consider talented candidates from restricted/ tied environments such as banks or building societies. If you’re looking to join on a self-employed basis, it would be preferable if you have an existing client bank.

Should you join on a self-employed basis, financial support will be available, with the amount dependent on your circumstances and provided on a loan-basis. Network fees will also be covered by the company, so your earnings from written business will not be affected.

If joining on an employed basis, you’ll be rewarded with a generous basic salary of up to £30K, together with an attractive bonus scheme that will realistically allow you to earn circa £35K to £40K in year one, and £50K+ in subsequent years.

If you’re looking to work within a quality-focused firm, where you can benefit from a steady stream of enquiries, then look no further than this role and apply in confidence today.
