This rapidly expanding MGA goes from strength to strength and now seeks an accomplished Commercial Underwriter to work from its office in the Chelmsford area. Spearheaded by one of the most respected and creative management teams in the East Anglian region, this long-standing MGA offers a comprehensive range of commercial insurance products including an outstanding Commercial Combined offering and standalone Liability, Property and Property Owners products too.
Using your commercial insurance expertise, you will ensure that a world-class level of customer service is provided to your brokers. You will deal with existing business cases across their main commercial product suite, typically handling risks up to £50K premium. In addition, you will be tasked with building and maintaining broker relationships and promoting other lines of business, where appropriate, to ensure continued profitability within the branch.
It is essential that you have solid technical knowledge within commercial underwriting, together with an excellent track record of servicing clients. My client is happy to consider existing Commercial Underwriters, as well as talented Assistant Underwriters or Brokers who are ready for the next step in their career. Ideally, you will already have well established broker relationships in the East Anglian region, and you will be adept at negotiating with clients. Drive and self-motivation are of equal importance, as is a ‘Trader’s’ mentality and a genuine desire to maximise the profitably of existing relationships through cross and up-selling ancillary lines.
