Due to being the world’s largest privately-owned broking house, this respected intermediary is much more nimble than many competing publicly held globals and, accordingly, can quickly adapt to a fast-changing market.

This dynamic broking house arranges the insurance programmes of many of the world’s largest companies, and its portfolio includes prestigious names from across the globe in such sectors as Food & Beverage, Automotive and Construction. Already a leading player in the Upstream and Downstream Energy markets (with clients including notable names from the worlds of oil exploration, drilling contractors, refining, processing, petrochemicals and energy distribution) several years ago it created a Global Energy Practice to act as ‘Centre of Excellence’ in London, with further hubs across the globe. As well designing insurance programmes, this team offers a range of additional services such as contract reviews, M&A due diligence, BI reviews, captive pricing exercises and claims consultancy.

Due to a sustained increase in business volumes, it now seeks a Processing Technician to join its specialist Global Energy Practice. This is a superb opportunity to work with some of the brightest people in this fascinating, and thriving, sector of insurance. This is a fast-paced environment where you will be learning from the best in the industry and be empowered to fulfil your potential. As such, we are particularly keen to hear from ambitious candidates who will respond well to such a challenge.

Here, you will be responsible for providing Account Executive, Broker and Finance Team personnel a high level of support in regards to the management of clients’ programmes. This includes processing the invoicing of premiums & bordereau using such systems as Brokasure Enterprise and Xchanging.

The ideal candidate will be currently working in a junior processing style role, and be looking to make the next step into a more Technical Processor position. Whilst this experience need not have been gained in a competing Energy/ Oil & Gas Team, having a keen interest in this sector would add weight to your application. You must have experience of using a form processing system, as well as having worked with Xchanging on market signings including A-Accounts and A&S submissions. As you would expect for such a role, you must be detail-orientated and meticulous in your approach. Ideally, you will be progressing towards professional qualifications under the CII with LM1 & LM2 already under your belt.

It is anticipated that this role will pay between £25K-£35K, although there may be some scope for negotiation for outstanding candidates. You will also benefit from a comprehensive benefits package and a myriad of opportunities for progression.
