Our client is a leading UK MGA, with a strong presence throughout the UK. Due to continued growth, it now has an opportunity for an experienced Household/ Property Claims Handler in its Manchester office.
Joining a small, specialist team of specialist subject matter experts, you will manage a portfolio of referred Property claims from delegated authority holders with claim values typically exceeding £50K. With a focus upon the provision of technical guidance and advice on the next step throughout the lifecycle of each claim, you’ll be a clear, concise communicator who is able to build strong working relationships. Additionally, you’ll have regular contact with Loss Adjusters, and also with carriers when reserves exceed the MGA’s own authority. Some travel will be expected in order to conduct onsite audits of the delegated authority holders’ work

It is essential that you have a genuine passion for claims handling, and pride yourself on achieving the best possible resolution of each claim within the policy terms. As such, you must possess excellent communication and negotiation skills, and be able to manage claims in a fair and expeditious manner.
It is essential that you have demonstrable experience of working in a “decision making” Property claims role gained from within an insurer, TPA or loss adjusting firm.
