This outstanding insurance product provider continues to go from strength to strength and after some recent, and very significant industry hires, is now ready to further expand its consultative Business Development team by adding another focused Business Development Manager (BDM) to its organisation.

With an impressive suite of products to offer, you’ll be tasked with developing new business opportunities in two main areas:

Upon joining, you’ll be allocated a portfolio of existing customers and clients who will already be trading successfully with our client. Focusing on a seamless transition, you’ll pick up these relationships and quickly establish your own, ideally by booking in an initial meeting, discussing existing arrangements, and identifying any areas for increased product penetration and account growth. You’ll then establish an ongoing framework for regular contact and account reviews.

The second part of the role will be the identification, presentation, and subsequent onboarding of new trading partners, who will ideally come from within the insurance broking and MGA community. It is therefore essential that you are well-networked and have a wealth of senior decision-making contacts and connections in this space. Our client is happy to provide training on the features and benefits of its own product offering, but exposure to, or knowledge of, the wheels-based insurance sector, or even the Motor claims industry would potentially be advantageous.

Ideally, based in the East Midlands/ East Anglian region, you’ll be comfortable working flexibly and with a high amount of autonomy. There will be a requirement to report into the regional office (probably on a weekly basis) but in essence, you’ll be a motivated, self-starter who is comfortable managing your own diary and journey plan.

In return, you can expect an excellent basic salary of up to £50K (possibly more for an outstanding individual), together with an unlimited bonus scheme, car, laptop, pension and other benefits. Our client is keen to move on this role ASAP and is happy to facilitate initial exploratory interviews at short notice if required.
