It’s clientele includes well known jewellery manufactures, prestigious retailors and extremely well-known high net worth individuals from the worlds of business, entertainment / media and sport.

Due to expansion, the need has arisen for an additional Account Handler to join its thriving Jewellers’ Block Division. Here, you will be dealing with some fascinating companies from across the Fine Art & Jewellery sector, including Dealers, Galleries, Retailers and Pawnbrokers. You will be responsible for looking after a designated portfolio of clients, building a sound understanding of their businesses and ensuring their exposure to risks are suitably covered. Where gaps in cover do exist, you will highlight ancillary covers that can suitably mitigate these. You will deal with any mid-term amendments, policy administration and answer general enquires as and when they arise, and also prepare for any renewals in a timely and organised fashion. As you would expect, you will be negotiating with Underwriters, securing the most comprehensive cover at competitive premiums on your clients’ behalf.

Ideally you will come from a Jewellers’ Block or Commercial Insurance background, but we do welcome applications from High Net Worth and Personal Lines Account Handlers / Brokers who are interested in moving to a more commercially focused insurance environment. You must be well organised, numerate and have a keen eye for detail. Also, as you will be dealing with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders, you should possess excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) and be confident in your ability to build rapport with clients from all walks of life. Whilst progress towards qualifications under the Chartered Insurance Institute would add weight to your application, it is not a pre requisite that you have these already. However, it is essential that you will commit to commencing professional studies with the aim to obtaining Cert CII Status within 12 months.
