This is a rare opportunity to work for one of the world’s most prestigious, specialist insurers within their Head Office based in Leeds city centre.

As a result of internal development, a position has arisen for a Pricing Analyst to ensure the excellent price for valued policyholders worldwide.

You will assist the Senior Pricing, Business Analysts and Head of Pricing in setting appropriate premiums, making sure that they are rated accurately and that the required controls are incorporated into process. You will liaise with the company Actuary to make sure that analysis, assumptions and results are correct, and resolve any issues that may arise. You will also assist with the maintenance and development of the data warehouse and subsidiary analytical systems, determining the analytical requirements for enhancements to the business intelligence suite and making sure that data quality is of the highest standard.

Duties will also include setting reserves, implementing appropriate controls into the reserving setting process, providing responses to requests for ad hoc schemes, as well as being involved with ad hoc projects and identifying trends.

Our client is flexible on experience; insurance experience would be useful, but this is by no means essential. You may have a mathematical degree and relevant work experience, or perhaps a qualification in data science. Experience with SPSS, Cognos, SQL and MS packages would certainly be beneficial, although this is not essential. Just as importantly, you’ll have strong presentation skills, the ability to work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders and convey complex data in an easy to understand format.
