A top global insurer in the City of London seeks a talented Real Estate Underwriter to contribute to the growth of its specialist team.
This insurance company is one of the biggest and most successful players within the Real Estate market and insures some highly prestigious, well-known UK Property Investor clients.
Working within a trading team catering for both new and existing business, you’ll underwrite a wide variety of cases with premiums typically ranging from £10,000 up to tens of millions of pounds. Predominantly, you’ll be dealing with global brokers in the London Insurance Market, where you will enjoy working in conjunction with some of the top brokers in this specialist arena. Given the size and complexity of this market, the company very much promotes market-facing Underwriters who are keen to build relationships and really get to know their broker partners.
Given this firm’s brand, you’ll be kept very busy with enquiries, and you’ll have access to highly competitive rates and support, which will allow you to do what you do best. Whilst this company is certainly focused on growing its account, it is also very focused on profitable underwriting, where your technical expertise will be greatly valued.
This firm is fully aware that there are not a huge amount of specialist Real Estate Underwriters in the London market and whilst they would ideally like this experience, they are flexible on this. Because you will be dealing with complex business, they would like you to at least have a strong Commercial Property background, ideally with some experience of dealing with property investors. Ideally, you will also have some experience of dealing with global insurance brokers. This insurer holds just as much importance on attitude, and as such, you must be able to display that you are career-minded, proactive, client-centric and a strong team player.
