Having recently been the subject of an MBO, this broker is going through an exciting period of change. It is led by a dynamic and experienced management team that has set a clearly defined strategy, and the business is now returning to double digit-growth.
As Binder Technician, you will play a key part in the administration of policies pertaining to private individuals, intermediaries and international organisations. As well as processing new business and renewals in line with specified terms and conditions, you will be responsible for handling the administration of premium payments, statements and bordereaux, in a timely and accurate fashion.
You will also produce a range of MI and reports, as well as binding authorities, line slips and MRC. You will be dealing with a range of internal and external stakeholders, whether this is chasing Underwriters for documentation or answering client queries.
It is essential that you are from a commercial insurance background, and have a knowledge of both common and specialist lines (such as Med Mal’). You should have a sound understanding of the Lloyd’s and London Market’s structure (ideally including a knowledge of claims processes and experience of producing line slips and MRC’s). An understanding of the placement process of PI, D&O and Cyber classes for North American business would add weight to your application.
As the London market is heavily reliant on a variety of IT systems, we are keen to hear from candidates who have dealt with a number of the following platforms; Crystal, IMR, PPL, Atlas, BAR, DA Stats and Global.
Progress made towards professional qualifications under the CII (particularly London Market-orientated modules) would put you at a distinct advantage.
This role is immediately available, and you will initially be working from home with a view to moving to the office as and when social distancing guidelines allow.
The salary is anticipated to be in the region of £30K, plus a range of benefits, including support towards professional qualifications.
