A superb opportunity has arisen for an experienced insurance professional to lead a dedicated team of Commercial & Corporate Account Executives based across several locations in Yorkshire.
This global broker controls the largest client portfolio in the region, with accounts spanning every conceivable sector – both blue and white collar. Clients range in terms of income and complexity; from £5K commission owner-managed businesses, through to FTSE100 PLC’s and some of Yorkshire’s largest privately-owned businesses with six-figure fees attached.
Here, you will be responsible for the day to day management of a team of Commercial & Corporate Account Executives, ensuring that they hit a variety of KPI’s. The Account Executives’ primary focus is ensuring the successful retention of existing clients, although there is a very realistic ‘expansion’ target for each account that should be readily achievable through a combination of organic growth, cross-selling ancillary covers and some new business. This should be especially doable, as your team will be aided in their business development endeavours by a formidable marketing budget and the services of an ‘in house’ Contact Management Team that act in a lead generation and appointment-setting capacity.
You will also be responsible for allocating workloads, ensuring tasks are carried out in a fashion that complies with both FCA regulations and internal processes, assisting with colleagues’ training and development, managing relationships with insurers and other stakeholders, and acting as a company ambassador within the local business community.
Mindful that the ideal candidate will probably not want to lose any client management skills in this position, you will also benefit from inheriting your own portfolio of clients (with individual risks likely to be in the £10K-£50K income range).
Ideally, you will have some management or team leading experience, although we welcome applications from experienced Commercial & Corporate Account Executives who feel that they are ready to make the next step in their career.
