As Senior Account Handler, you will support Account Executives and Directors with the effective maintenance and development of their accounts. This will include, but not be limited to, marketing new business and renewal cases, processing endorsements, producing reports, dealing with client enquiries, and assisting with the management of various relationships including clients and insurers. You will also have some involvement with claims, although we are not necessarily looking for previous claims handling experience; just the self-initiative to chase progress and question decisions, when appropriate.
As Senior Account Handler, you will be dealing with the largest and most complex cases within the firm, and therefore you must have experience of dealing with higher value, more-challenging risks, as opposed to simply micro-SME business. As you will be handling a wide range of covers, it is essential that you have a good understanding of the main lines including Property, Liability, Motor and Financial Lines. Importantly, our client is looking for an enthusiastic insurance broker who is continually looking to improve things, promote the business where possible, and support the overall growth of the organisation. Whilst there is no pressure to do so, there is the opportunity to progress into a client-facing role, if this is the route that you wish to pursue.
