Our client is a leading UK MGA, with a strong presence throughout the UK. Due to continued growth, it now has an urgent requirement for a vastly-experienced and technically-strong Household/ Property Claims Handler to be based in the North West region.
Joining a small, specialist team of subject matter experts, you will manage a portfolio of referred Property claims from delegated authority holders with claim values typically exceeding £50K but often reaching reserves of up to £250K and on occasion, beyond! With a focus upon the provision of technical guidance and advice on the next step throughout the lifecycle of each claim you’ll be a clear, concise communicator who is able to build strong working relationships. Additionally, you’ll have regular contact with investigating Loss Adjusters, TPAs and also with carriers when reserves exceed the MGA’s own authority. Some regional travel can also be expected in order to conduct onsite audits of the delegated authority holders’ work.
Whilst training is on offer, it is your responsibility to strive for continuous professional development, keeping abreast of industry changes, market publications and legislation. It is essential that you have a genuine passion for claims excellence, and pride yourself on achieving the best possible resolution of each claim within the policy terms. As such, you must possess excellent communication and negotiation skills, and be able to manage claims in a fair and expeditious manner. Experience in handing and co-ordinating major, complex losses will be most advantageous.
It is essential that you have demonstrable experience of working in a “decision making” Property claims role gained from within an Insurer, TPA or Loss Adjuster.
