You’ll inherit a loyal, yet demanding client portfolio of surgeons and practitioners whose primary insurance requirements will be Medical Malpractice insurance. With a focus on the retention and growth of this valuable client bank, comprising circa 130 clients, you’ll quickly be able to build, nurture and develop long-lasting relationships. The ability to quickly gain your employer’s and clients’ trust and confidence in your skills will be key. In this age of litigation and recourse, it is absolutely vital that the correct cover is in place at all times and that it is regularly reviewed with your clientele. Outstanding communication, negotiation and presentation skills will be of paramount importance
You’ll also be confident in discussing your clients’ additional insurance requirements, identifying the best products, cover and carriers for their needs. Whilst this is not an ‘out and out’ sales role, you will have a proactive approach to business development, and as a specialist in this field, you’ll be looking to grow your portfolio, both organically and via the new business route, using your network of connections, where appropriate.
You’ll be reporting to the recently appointed Head of Division who is already producing very positive results and runs the team as true meritocracy. Success will undoubtedly bring career development and significant further earnings potential. With an initial salary of up to £45K plus commission, you’ll also benefit from additional bonus possibilities and a comprehensive suite of employee benefits.
In the post-covid era, it is anticipated that in order to be successful you’ll spend most of your time in the field developing relationships and identifying new ones, but there will be some expectation to attend the Hertfordshire Head Office regularly too. We therefore anticipate that the successful applicant will be domiciled within easy access to the M25.
