We at Aston Charles are incredibly proud to have been instructed on this search to source a truly outstanding Claims Executive to provide specialist claims support to the most valuable, loyal and complex clientele of this organisation. The client bank has a presence across the UK and includes some very well-known corporate organisations that demand an exemplary and unrivalled claims service.
Working independently and remotely, you’ll be on hand at short notice to support your clients at the time of major complex MD/ BI losses. As a true expert in this field, you’ll have the gravitas to provide immediate support, attending on-site meetings and leading claims discussions with clients, insurers and experts, when appropriate. You’ll be adept at assisting clients with claim mitigation, substantiation and advocacy at all times. It is also essential that you can demonstrate outstanding ability in the calculation of Business Interruption claims to the most complex level. Your expertise in BI to the highest level will equip you with the tools to challenge Adjusters and insurers, where appropriate, with the aim of achieving the best possible outcomes for your client base.
Additionally, as subject matter expert, you’ll be on hand to support the wider UK claims team with advice and technical training on technical Property Damage and Business Interruption issues. You’ll be a proud ambassador and will enjoy sharing your knowledge and helping to develop the claims stars of the future from within the organisation.
The other key aspect to this role is the spectre of Covid-19 related BI claims hanging over the UK insurance industry, and our client will need you to help them and their clients navigate this unprecedented minefield.
It goes without saying that you will a true claims expert in the field of complex Property Damage and Business Interruption and will enjoy communicating and negotiating at the very highest levels. You’ll be happy and available to travel at short notice across the UK and will have the gravitas to lead negotiations on behalf of your key clients.

As a Claims Executive within this market-leading claims unit, you will have an elevated profile within the office, including acting as a mentor to less-experienced colleagues. You will also educate other members of the broking team in claims processes and procedures. As such, it is essential that you possess a sense of gravitas, combined with being open and approachable for advice.
It is imperative that you have extensive technical claims knowledge, encompassing all common UK commercial lines including Property, Property Owners and Liability. You will ideally be Cert CII qualified as a minimum and be looking to progress to Dip CII and beyond. Claims experience gained from within the broking sector would be highly advantageous.
