Due to continued growth, this fast-paced behemoth of the broking world requires an experienced Insurance Technician to join its thriving Property & Casualty Division. Our client is quite flexible about the seniority of the hire, and welcomes applications from semi-experienced P&C Insurance Technicians through to those long-serving members of the industry who are currently in Senior or Team Leader positions.

It is worth noting that whilst this role reports in to this broker’s UK Head Office in the City, our client has embraced modern working practices and offers a high degree of flexibility when it comes to working from home. As such, this role will appeal to P&C Insurance Technicians from across London, the Home Counties, and even across large swathes of the South East, East Anglia and the M4 Corridor.

Our client is one of the largest brokers in the market; it has 7,500 Associates based across 90 offices worldwide and generates close to £2Bn in revenues annually. Never one to rest on its laurels, it continues to push forward by reinvesting its profits in the acquisition of high quality staff and the development of its own infrastructure. This approach is yielding phenomenal results, and our client is proud to announce that it recently delivered a decade of double-digit growth locally, nationally and globally.

Due to this growth, the need has arisen to appoint a Senior Insurance Technician or Team Leader to its Property & Casualty Division.
In this role, you will provide “post bind” support to the Account Managers / Brokers as well as clients and Underwriters in preparing invoices and other client and market documentation to a high standard, and preparing London market accounting submissions to the bureau and non–bureau carriers. As a senior member of the Department or Team Leader, you will also be involved in allocating workloads, being involved in projects and helping set the future direction of the Department.

Role Responsibilities:

Preparation of Client premium invoices and closings using Brokasure Enterprise (BE)
Submission of market documentation to Xchanging via IMR using e-accounts
Facilitate the prompt resolution of bureau and accounts queries
Updating of relevant processing systems for monthly KPI purposes
Liaison with underwriters or insurers regarding premium payment where required
Monitoring signings and clearing Bureau Held Funds.
Monitoring Premium payment conditions
Supporting the business and accounts department with credit control where required.

Candidate Profile

It is essential that you have experience of working in both a Property and Casualty / Liability environment
It is essential that applicants have experience of using Brokasure Enterprise and a complete understanding of the bureau premium process.
Working knowledge of Global Tax Liabilities and ability to understand and process Tax Schedules. Knowledge of TMF Tax Tool would be beneficial but not essential.
Understanding of Regulatory and Compliance for both Retail and Wholesale business
Ability to work on your own initiative

In return, you will receive a generous basic salary (completely negotiable but anticipated to be £40-50K for an experienced P&C Technician through to circa £65K for an experienced Team Leader), £7K car allowance and an impressive benefits package.
