Due to its unique ownership model, this broker is much more nimble than many competing globals. This gives rise to a fast-paced, dynamic environment that yields impressive results (as evidenced by a decade of double-digit growth, nationally, locally and globally). As one would expect from such an organisation, it was an early adopter of ‘working from home’ and as such, this role will appeal to insurance professionals from across the South of England who can get into the UK Head office in the City a couple of times per week.

This firm believes in fostering a close-knit environment between Brokers and Support Technicians, so you will be working in close conjunction with your colleagues in the P&C Division; some of the best Brokers in the insurance market.

You will be responsible for supporting your contemporaries in the Retail Broking & Placement Team in preparing accurate Client and London market documentation, as well as the provision of account management services for an allocated portfolio of clients.

Candidate Profile

Experience in handling Direct Retail Property and Casualty risks with an understanding of the Retail market and associated facultative reinsurance
Experience in creating MRC slips, risk presentations, and endorsements from client submissions (you must be familiar with clauses, wordings and regional requirements)
Good understanding of Global Taxes and the ability to put together Global tax schedules for underwriter agreement
Ability to prepare adjustment and renewal documentation
Ability to work closely with the broking team to prioritise workload and query any missing or incorrect content
A good understanding of the cash collection processes including but not limited to general insurance accounting and client invoicing would be an advantage
Knowledge of the requirements of the Financial Conduct Authority as relative to the tasks involved in this position
Ideally, you will also have experienced of using Brokasure and also working knowledge of PPL.
In return, you can expect a generous basic salary (anticipated to be to circa £50K, but negotiable for the right candidate) plus a comprehensive array of benefits, including support towards professional qualifications.
