A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated, driven and upwardly-mobile individual to take the reins of a £5m+ Professional Indemnity and Financial Lines account. As Head of this Underwriting Practice, you’ll hold the P&L and will have responsibility for leading the Underwriting proposition across the main core Professional Indemnity products, but additionally Cyber, MLP and D&O too.
You’ll obviously be able to demonstrate proven technical expertise in this field and will have “held the pen” to high underwriting levels in previous positions. As Practice Leader, you’ll manage your team of Underwriters via a matrix structure and will be available for technical referrals and advice, when required. Additionally, in this wide and varied role, you’ll take a holistic view of the whole account, focusing on Profit & Loss, Account Strategy, Capacity, Distribution, Product Development, Wordings and much more. You’ll also be part of the Senior Management Team and will play an integral part of the overall development of this highly respected MGA.
Head Office is in London and this is supported by a regional branch network, however there is a genuine interest from our client to consider technically-capable candidates from all over the UK. Remote-working is absolutely embraced but there will of course be an expectation to attend market meetings and senior management meetings when applicable, and obviously post Covid.
