This outstanding insurance broker continues to expand and extend its reach, and as a result of this, it now seeks additional technical strength within its existing Claims team to provide the highest levels of service excellence to its ever-evolving client portfolio.

With a wide and varied client bank that generates an eclectic mix of claims from across the main commercial and HNW product mix, the existing motivated and forward-thinking Claims team is already operationally well-led and delivering the highest possible levels of service, support and expertise to its customers. What’s lacking are the advanced technical claims knowledge and client-facing, ambassadorial skills to add extra value when required… and this is where you come in!!

Our client seeks someone who can take its claims offering, service and strategy to the next level. You’ll be able to demonstrate proven experience of handling major and complex losses across all classes of commercial insurance. You’ll also be an open and approachable point of reference for the existing team for points of technical referrals and advice. Additionally, advanced communication, negotiating and influencing skills will be essential when challenging insurer and expert findings.

The final piece of this jigsaw will be the gravitas and credibility to act as a trusted adviser, advocate and ambassador to this broker’s blue chip client bank. You’ll be comfortable in client and expert-facing scenarios and will be available onsite in times of need to “hand hold” your clients through stressful and challenging processes of claims mitigation, substantiation and defensibility. As the most senior member of the Claims team, you’ll be part of the local management team in which you’ll add value in terms of identification of areas for process improvement, future claims strategy, new business proposals and even potentially introducing potential income streams too.

With agile working processes in place, you’ll split your weekly time between the office, home and in the field with clients, with presence in the North Yorkshire office being required for 1 or 2 days a week.
