This is a first-class opportunity in the East Midlands insurance broking market for an experienced Corporate Broker / Account Handler to join one of the most respected broking teams in the region.

Our client is a Chartered Insurance Broker that is long-established in the region, and deeply committed to retaining a major presence. It is recognised by many as the ‘premier corporate broker’ in the area, and controls a portfolio of corporate accounts comprising many blue-chip organisations that is the envy of competing firms. Its management team is widely-acclaimed for its technical ability, entrepreneurial approach and the strength of the relationships it enjoys with its clients.

In this high profile and challenging role, you will be responsible for working with a portfolio of key clients, including some of the most prestigious accounts held in the business. Whilst a detailed knowledge of all common UK commercial lines is required, and some experience of dealing with complex business is preferable, cultural fit is very much the focus in this position. Having the core technical understanding underpinned by a thirst for knowledge and a desire to provide the highest possible levels of service will stand you out from the crowd.

We are keen to speak to candidates from globals but also national, regional and provincial broking firms too. We are also eager to hear from commercially-astute and ambitious brokers who have strong market awareness, are aware of factors that are influencing the business world at present, have a keen eye for detail and give of an air of integrity and professionalism. You must also be a ‘team player’, with solid communication and negotiation skills, and able to build a sound rapport with corporate clients from all sectors.

Whilst it is not essential that you are ACII qualified, some progress made with professional qualifications under the Chartered Insurance Institute would add significant weight to your application, especially with our client having Chartered status.

Alongside enjoying a highly satisfying role and the chance to further your career by working in close conjunction with some of the most respected insurance professionals in the local market, you will also benefit from an extremely competitive salary and benefits package, as well as support towards professional insurance qualifications.
