The Social Housing Team sits within the Public Sector Division; a highly regarded and successful unit that is seen as one of this broker’s flagship brands. This team enjoys great stability, and this role has only arisen due to the forthcoming retirement of an incumbent Account Executive.
Here, you will inherit a substantial portfolio of longstanding clients based across a wide geographical area. Individual clients range in size and complexity, from relatively small social housing providers, through to some of the most complex accounts in the sector. Clients require the full range of commercial covers, including Property, Liability and Financial Lines. You will be expected to keep abreast of developments within the public sector, and attend various networking events to ensure you develop and maintain expert knowledge of the Social Housing sector and its nuances. In particular, you must build a detailed knowledge of the tender processes that Public Sector bodies go through to appoint insurance brokers. Given the challenging nature of the hardening market, you will be tasked with designing your clients an appropriate insurance programme, and negotiating with insurers to achieve comprehensive cover at a competitive price.
We welcome applications from insurance professionals from all commercial and corporate disciplines, including ‘general commercial’ Account Executives, Underwriters and Claims Professionals. However, it is essential that you have knowledge of the full suite of commercial covers. You must be extremely professional in your approach, and confident in your ability to build rapport with C-Suite personnel from prestigious public sector bodies. Given the nature of the industry, you must be extremely well-organised with superb task management skills, and you will thrive in a structured, heavily process-driven environment. You will also pride yourself on your ability to produce detailed reports and management information that can be easily understood by a variety of stakeholders.
It is envisioned that you will only need to visit the division’s head office in Bracknell every few weeks, with the rest of your time spent working from home or attending client meetings. As such, we are keen to hear from suitable candidates based across the South of England, M1, M62 or M6 corridors.
