One of Yorkshire’s premier independent broking houses now has an immediately available vacancy within its highly regarded Claims Team. It seeks an experienced, client-focused claims professional to help guide its clients through the “murky waters” when claims arise, and ensure that all appropriate claims are settled expediently and efficiently.
You’ll be responsible for handling a varied portfolio of “non-wheels” claims, where there will be an emphasis upon handling the traditional classes of Property, Employers’ Liability and Public Liability. Interestingly, you’ll also become exposed to some claims emanating from niche classes such as PA/Travel, PI, EPL, Cargo and Cyber, thus making this an excellent opportunity to enhance your current knowledge and experience.
Across all these classes, your focus will be upon making the client claims experience as stress-free and seamless as possible. You’ll provide technical assistance with regards to policy coverage, help them with substantiating losses and outlays, and provide advice on how to mitigate their losses. You’ll not be afraid to challenge insurers or appointed experts when appropriate, and you’ll maintain an accurate and efficient diary system to ensure there are no delays in the claims chain.
