To many people considering a rewarding, challenging and fascinating career, often insurance isn’t the first industry that springs to mind. It is often overlooked in favour of other professions such as Accountancy & Law. However…

There can be few better firms for an ambitious individual seeking a fast-paced career than this commercial insurance brokerage. It is somewhat of a success story in the Yorkshire business community, boasts an impressive selection of industry awards to its name, and continues to generate more interest in the business press than competing brokers. The firm is headed by a young management team that heavily reinvests profits in the business, and are rightly proud of their reputation for providing a fun working environment and encouraging all staff to fulfil their true potential.
Due to its continued success, the need has arisen for an additional Administrator to join the team. Here, you will be responsible for dealing with a variety of administrative tasks, such as filing paperwork, updating spreadsheets and various databases, contacting clients and insurers (over the phone and by email), and chasing documents.

Over time, your responsibilities will be expanded to include more duties with even more client interaction, and you will be supported to develop your knowledge of commercial insurance. If desired, this will include studying for professional qualifications under the Chartered Insurance Institute.

It is not essential that you have previous experience within insurance broking, however you must have a strong academic record, be numerate, and have good written and verbal communication skills. You must also have excellent attention to detail, and pride yourself on carrying out all tasks to the best of your ability. You’ll be a team player who enjoys working to shared goals and objectives, and willing to go the extra mile to assist colleagues with whatever needs doing.

In return, you can expect to receive a salary that is negotiable (but anticipated to be in the £17-20K region) plus benefits, and a myriad of opportunities for professional development and progression.
