This is a superb opportunity for a Client Adviser / Account Handler to join the Major Corporate Risks division of this top global insurance broker based in Manchester.

Working within the specialist Trade Credit division, you will help to service a portfolio of circa 20 clients including some household name companies with turnovers in excess of £1 billion.

Working alongside Account Executives and Directors, your varied role will include, but not be limited to, managing credit limit requirements for clients via liaising and negotiating with insurers, and providing clients with support and guidance to ensure they adhere to their policy terms and conditions. In addition, you will prepare pre-renewal submission data, conduct renewals where required, and actively build relationships across the company and with other departments. You will also have the opportunity to attend some client visits in conjunction with your senior colleagues.

It is not essential that you have previously worked within Trade Credit Insurance as full training will be provided. However, it would be preferred that you have some previous experience in a general insurance role (this might be within broking, underwriting or claims, either within commercial or personal lines insurance). Alternatively, candidates who have previous experience in a Credit Control, Invoice Financing, Factoring or Asset Finance type position will also be considered.

This is far from a mundane, ‘transactional’ insurance role; you will be taking a lot of complex enquiries from major customers, which will require you to ‘think outside of the box’, problem solve, and liaise with a range of stakeholders across the business. As such, you will enjoy a very varied and intellectually-stimulating role. You must have strong time management and organisational skills, the ability to communicate effectively with corporate clients, and a flexible attitude to getting things done. Just as importantly, you’ll have excellent attention to detail and be able to perform well under pressure. Crucially, our client is looking for someone with a thirst for learning, and who is genuinely excited about a career in Trade Credit Insurance, whilst supporting some of the largest companies in the world.
