A rare opportunity has arisen for an Account Handler to join the major corporate team of this world-renowned insurance brokerage.
Here, you will play an integral role in servicing the insurance programmes of a range of clients that typically generate individual fee incomes of between £50K - £250K. Your portfolio will consist of circa 8 clients, which will allow you to really ‘get under the skin’ of these businesses and build some terrific relationships. Clients within your portfolio can be tweaked in accordance with your skills, experience and interests, and you will be given a great deal of support to transition successfully into the role.

Our client appreciates that because they deal with some of the largest accounts in the market, it is likely that new starters will not have previously dealt with insurance risks of this size. However, because of their unrivalled development programme, they have had huge success with training candidates from a commercial insurance background, who have demonstrated a real thirst for learning.
You’ll be heavily involved in renewals, as well as servicing the ongoing requirements of your clientele. This is a business where Account Handlers regularly interact with their customers, and so you’ll have the opportunity to accompany Account Directors on client visits, which makes the job so much more interesting and rewarding.
It's essential that you have previous experience within commercial / corporate insurance broking, and that you have dealt with some reasonable-sized commercial risks, as opposed to micro-SME cases. As a minimum, you must be au fait with Property and Liability / Commercial Combined risks. Just as importantly, you’ll be well-organised and inquisitive, with strong communication skills.
